Went to an appointment and the Depot to get extra stuff we still needed. Got to the house to let the plumber in . . . worked on all sorts of things while he was connecting the kitchen sink drain to the main line in the house, moving the ice maker line to the other side of the kitchen, adding supply lines and drain lines to the washing machine area. The only thing he has left is adding the vent stack for the washing machine, so we're REALLY close to rough-in time! There's a good chance we'll get it inspected on Tuesday!!!
I nailed up more single pole single gang junction boxes, a couple of old work junction boxes, cut out sections of plywood and hardibacker for the bathroom floor with all their cut outs for toilet flange, air register, doorway, etc, swept and cleaned up a lot, worked on the pattern for the tile, and did various other smallish things. Rich was able to set up a lightswitch for the light in the utility room, help me with hardibacker on the shower stall, and finish all the little things I started around there but couldn't finish because I simply don't have enough arm strength. Ah, the perils of being a girl!
Taking a small break for a day, to clear our heads and gear up for the big push. We may still swing by the house, maybe not? Have a LOT to still do to be ready for inspections, which we hope will all be able to be done next week. Our electrician friend thinks with Rich's help, he could be done on Monday or Tuesday, which would allow us to get our electrical, mechanical and finally framing done. Keep praying for us!!
