Darron came out today and found three leaks in our gas line system. Praise GOD Rich smelled them before while under the house. Seems like most of the systems in this house have been ignored.
Met with the electrician today and he said his experience has been with houses in that area that the structure and electrical were great. Yay! We have good wire throughout, and he thinks, with Rich's help, we can get back on track early to mid next week. With any luck, we can get rough-in inspections done late next week and then focus on finishing in two weeks. Keeping the fingers crossed!
While we were outside today, we were approached by or talked to by several new neighbors that took it upon themselves to meet us. Let me say clearly that we have now met, before we've even moved in, more neighbors here than we've met anywhere else. How wild is that??? Something we've prayed for forever. Even if we never have a relationship with any of them, we think the world of all of them for coming by and welcoming us to the neighborhood.
We met Tim, the strong handshake guy, and Mike's wife next door, Kim, and Dixie and Roy down the street (don't you LOVE their names???). Almost everyone has said they like Christmas cookies, which is great, since I'm gonna have this huge kitchen to cook in!
Off to relax a bit and get ready for tiling tomorrow!!
