Update July 12

Was too grumpy and didn't have internet connection last night to write for yesterday. Probably a good thing :o)

Was there for twelve hours yesterday. Changed out a lot of the outlets in the bedrooms and hallway, with much aggravation. Pulled out all the rest of the nails from the remaining hardwoods, with much aggravation. Worked on some insulation, with much aggravation. Tried to place some final pieces of wood for framing, with much aggravation. Worked on more of the schedule to see how much time we have left, with much aggravation. Mowed the back yard, to get out the aggravation.

Other people had much better success. Darron ran our gas line for the stove and pressurized the line. It was still holding pressure like a champ when I left last night. He's also working on finding a "leak" that Rich thought he smelled while he was scooting around under there, and will have to be back there today at 9 am to pressurize that line, too.

Once Rich got there after his 6 pm appt, he was able to run a lot of electrical wire and work out what needs to be on what circuits (yay!), so we'll be ready for the electrician consult today to figure out what we still need to do.

Came up with enough of a shopping list again today that I'll probably be visiting Lowe's. Lots of things, including a 100 ft, 6 gauge copper wire that will have to be tied in from the gas meter to the electric panel ground to ground the gas line, since the newer gas lines have been found to sometimes arc and catch the house on fire if struck by lightning. There's just so much to KNOW about all this crap!!!

Gotta eat, make my list, and get ready to head over there. Once Darron leaves, I'm off to the store. Wish me better success today??
