The kidney stones strikes again.
At the moment Rich and I woke up on Friday to really knock some stuff out, he got hit with a kidney stone. It went from twinge to all-out take-no-prisoners within an hour. Luckily, we got in to see the doc (if we'd waited 15 more minutes, we would have been out of luck) and got him some good drugs for pain and nausea. The rest of the day he was fighting to stay awake, but that's FAR better than wishing for death.
So the next day, we spent working on diagnosing where the aych eee double hockeysticks all the wiring went in the addition, and why so much of it was on just one freaking breaker. We'd already framed a good deal of it, so then we just had to figure out where all the electric will go, and take the existing and figure out how to re-route it or get rid of it altogether.
Not an exciting day, but VERY important for the next stage, which is ripping out the old bath so we can start on the new one.
As a side note, we were discussing whether the new pretty bathroom we made 2 years ago had individual new wiring or whether it was on another circuit. So we went back and looked at photos of the old stuff to see if we had pics of wiring from that bath before we sheetrocked it. Dang! We were ambitious! Looking back, we realized how far we've come. But it's funny . . . I suppose it's like (at least what I've heard) childbirth. You forget the pain so that the world won't become 1/2 less populated with only one birth per woman. :o) Same with reno. You forget the pain just long enough to say hey, I think we should try this again, beefy hand be damned.
